In the times of the Roman Empire when a child was born of free parents, it was said that the child was born free; ‘liberi’.
No woman or child in our society today should be bound by the shackles of poverty, hunger and human trafficking. We must help to set them free, and empower them to live happy productive lives.

Why Do We Do It?
My name is Cachi Trejo. When I was 11 years old and living in poverty, I received a gift from a stranger that changed my life. That simple act of kindness gave me, my children, grand-children, and new generations a chance for a brighter future. Now, I want to give others the same gift of opportunity and education I received. I want to do for others what the people in my life and America have done for me. This is my story . . .
Who Are We?
We are an organization dedicated to helping women and children escape poverty, hunger and human trafficking by ensuring they have access to education, and empower them to become self-sufficient.
What Do We Do?
We provide college and vocational scholarships for poor and low-income high school seniors, and women who became mothers before finishing school. We also gift summer camp scholarships for middle school age children to families that cannot afford it. We donate back-to-school backpacks full of school supplies to elementary school age children with the hope to awaken their excitement for learning.
How Do We Do It?
We encourage and mobilize people that have been blessed in their lives, and would like to “Pay-It-Forward” by helping children and women living in poverty find joy and success in their lives. We are trying to give birth to a new grassroots movement by relying on the kindness of strangers to accomplish our objective?
